how to enable menu bar in windows 10

how to enable menu bar in windows 10

* Moved from IE10/Win8

* Original title: enable menu bar

Hi Juanita. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

No Menu bar in Edge browser.

If you want one I'd install Firefox which has it if you right click in the top area of the browser where it goes.

It's always a good idea to have several browsers, especially since Edge is still a work in progress.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

how to enable menu bar in windows 10

You posted in a Windows 8 forum???

Edge doesn't have a Menu Bar, but IE11 does.

How to find Internet Explorer (IE) on Windows 10

To make IE11 the default browser in Win10: Control Panel | Default Programs | Set your Default Programs. Select Internet Explorer 11.

If you don't see the Menu Bar there, right click on the Title Bar and check it.

What "menu bar" are you asking about? Please describe it. What application is it in? Where do you see it? What is on it?

I press the Alt key and hold it down for around one second.

Upon release, the invisible menu bar appears.

This trick works for most every kind of window.  Not just IE.

Whatever the window, you never know what you might find hidden in there until you press the Alt key and hold it down for a second.
