Hi,

·         Do you have Windows 7 disk to perform clean installation?

If you don’t have Windows 7 installation disk provided by OEM (HP) then I would suggest you to contact HP support: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHome?cc=us&lc=en

Note: Make sure you backup all the important data on the computer before installing Windows 7.

Method 1:

I would suggest you to log into BIOS and change the first boot priority form Hard drive to DVD/cd drive and check if you can boot from disk. For more information regarding BIOS settings I would suggest you to contact HP support.

BIOS Disclaimer:

Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Method 2:

Step 1:

If you have already performed the emergency repair process and the computer still does not operate normally, you may want to do a repair/in-place upgrade of the existing installation. For more information refer this KB article:
