How to disable BitLocker in Windows 10?

BitLocker is not allowing me to install other necessary things in my Laptop Dell Inspiron 3576(WINDOWS VERSION-HOME) . I never activated it but now a unlocked lock sign is apperaing on the top of all of my drives ( I read on the internet and the sign represents that drive has been encrypted but you can access its data at this stage.)

When I right click on drives there is no option for manage bitlock and even in Contol Panel-> Systemand Security there is just Device Encryption no Bitlocker Encryption and if I enter device encryption also there is no option to deactivate it. I have also tried on services.mse and disbaled it but still I have got no success.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is William. I'm a Windows technical expert. I'll be happy to help you out today.

To turn off Bitlocker in Windows Home, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Device encryption > select Turn Off.

That said, Bitlocker does not prevent you from installing software, it simply encrypts the data on the hard drive.
