I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Any app that appears on the Taskbar will also appear on the Start Menu, open the Start Menu, and click 'All Apps' at the top, then in the alphabetical list of apps, scroll down to find an app, then click and drag the app from the Start Menu onto your Desktop to create a shortcut

To create a Desktop shortcut to a website, open the website in your preferred browser, to the left of the web address in the address bar is a lock, click and frag the lock icon onto your Desktop to create a shortcut to that website on your Desktop.
