Thank you for your reply. I used to do that when I had Windows 7. But now I can't seem to find this option in Windows 8. I tried to look for it as you suggested, but the option wasn't there. The only back up option in Windows 8 seems to be for files
only. Does this mean we have to rely on 3rd party software for taking system image?
Thank you in advance for your help,
the original ( old version ) of windows back up is still available.
1. go to Control Panel
2. click/tap on File History
3. in this window, you will have the option to use File History, or Windows 7 Back up and Recovery option.
4. either one of these options, will allow you to configure settings for automatic backups
Note: these 2 utilities can Not run simultaneously. you can either chose File History, or Windows 7 Backup.
hope this helps.
