How to create a background with an image in Paint

I want to create a black background at the top of an image. I can copy this image to my clipboard, but I'm not too sure what to do in Paint. I want to change the image so that instead of this image being 100% of what I see, the top 20% is a black band, and the lower 80% is this image.

To put a black bar on the image that you would like to edit, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the image the you would like to on Paint.     Image
  2. Rotate the image into 180°.     Image
  3. Extend the border of the image by dragging down the small box.     Image     Image
  4. Fill up the white space on the image with color by clicking the Paint bucket icon and selecting your preferred color on the color bar.     Image
  5. Rotate the image again to 180°, then save the image.     Image     Image

Note: We used the color red to easily distinguish the new space that we created in the image.
