How to change Audio Jack Prefrences?

Original title: Audio Jack Prefrences?

I have a new Acer E15 computer, it's great and all, however, I accidentally entered my jack identification preference to headphones. I wanted to set it to headset so I could use my headset mic. I also disabled the preference where the computer would ask me for the jack identification preference. Now I don't know how to set it so my headset's mic could be detected. I tried recording preferences and such, please help!

Hi,

Thanks for the answer! However, my "headphones" listed under recording devices do not correspond with the mic on my headset. The "headphones" uses my computer's microphone instead of my headset's. Is there any way I could set my headset's mic as my default microphone under headphones?

Thanks!
