How long does it take to install Windows 7?

I heard something about it taking ~20 hours to install Windows 7. That sounds unusual to me.
Then, other people are saying it is quick. Ed Bott: "Windows 7 installs are unquestionably faster than Vista installs. The Microsoft data shows that upgrade times are at least 6% faster and in many cases more than 20% faster, especially for 64-bit installs. (That 20-hour install actually took an extra 90 minutes using Vista on the same hardware!)"  http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=1299

Does anyone have some real experience with installing?

A clean install of 32-bit takes 30 mins
A clean install of 64-bit takes 35 mins
Upgrade times are dependant on how good the computer is and how much is on the C drive.. and yes, you are looking at anything between 2 hours and 20 hours..

It really depends on the size of your data set, personally, I have experienced upgrade time of 4 hours from Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64, but my data set is around 65 GBs with numerous applications, personal files and settings, and this installation of Vista was from around December 2006.

I have done a few clean installs and its exceptionally fast around 14 mins on my Core 2 Quad with 2 GB s of RAM, the longest being 30 mins.
