My current windows version is windows 11, 22H2, and I am looking to upgrade my version up to 23H2 or 24H2, so I can continue to get important security/software updates. Could someone please walk me through the steps on how to get a newer windows version? (23H2 or 24H2)

Hello,
If you go to Settings > Windows Update, do you see an update that says something like "Windows 11, 23H2/24H2 is available"? If so, download and install 23H2 or 24H2.
The other method is to use one of the three tools Microsoft provides to you to upgrade your PC.
You can use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, the Windows 11 ISO, or the Media Creation Tool. All three of these options will get you to Windows 11, version 24H2.
To use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant and then run it. You should see some prompts telling you about Windows 11 and what it'll install. Let it download and install 24H2.
To use the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool, download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool, and run the MCT. Once it finishes loading, push "Upgrade this PC Now". Let the MCT install the Windows 11 installation files, and then let it check for updates, and then let it install Windows 11.
To use the Windows 11 ISO, download the Windows 11 ISO, (you can find it here, scroll down to where you see ISO for Windows 11 x64 devices), mount it, and then run setup.exe (if you see a UAC prompt, push yes). Follow the prompts on-screen and then let setup.exe update and install Windows 11, 24H2.
All of these steps will eventually get you to 24H2 and will take a while to download and install. It's best to do this at night when you're not doing anything important. Just make sure to save your files before you start.
Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know!

I am Prashant. I am Microsoft user like you. It's pleasure for me to help you.
To manually upgrade Windows 11, Run the Media Creation tool and once it finishes then accept the license. Click on Upgrade this PC now and it will install installation files. let it check for updates. Please reach out the link below for Media Creation tool to download.

While I'm already on windows 11, my computer doesn't actually meet the requirements to be on windows 11 (unsupported CPU and doesn't have TPM 2.0 enabled). If I try to switch to a newer version, is there a risk that my computer might just stop working altogether?/ is it worth it to download a newer version?

Hello,
If you've installed Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, I can't vouch that you won't have problems down the road, or let alone at anytime.
I would recommend making an entire backup of your system just in case something goes wrong, and then once you are done with that, follow the steps below.
Open Registry Editor and push File > Export and then make sure All is selected under "Export range". Save it to a location anywhere on your computer, and then press Save.
After that is done, at the navigation bar on top, type this: HKLM\System\Setup\MoSetup and push enter. After that, right-click inside that scren and press New then "DWORD (32-bit) value". After it creates, give it the name AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMorCPU exactly as written, and the press Enter. Press enter again and give it the value 1. Make sure that Hexadecimal is selected as the base, and then press OK. Make sure to type everything as written.
Restart your computer and then follow the steps on how to upgrade to 24H2 above.
Let me know how this goes.

Just to clarify, this PC came with windows 11 on it along with the unsupported CPU and disabled TPM 2.0 (not that it matters). I greatly appreciate your help, but I think I'll just stick with 22H2 since the risk feels too great to switch to a newer version on unsupported hardware.
Thank you very much for your time.

No problem :)
I will recommend one thing, 22H2 is out of support from Microsoft and it is recommended that you go to at least 23H2 if possible. This way, your PC doesn't contract any viruses since 22H2 doesn't get any more patches from Microsoft.

I have a ~1 year old PC. It is currently running 22H2, but I can't upgrade to a newer version. I check for updates and it shows me nothing. I see a message "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date.". It seems like I am stuck. This system is very powerful and exceeds the Windows 11 requirements.

Hello,
I would recommend running an in-place upgrade. This will get you to Windows 11, version 24H2, which is the latest version of Windows 11.
All of these steps will get you to 24H2 and will take a while to install. It's best to do this at night when you're not doing anything important. Just make sure to save your files before you start.

"Hello, I have Windows 11 version 23H2 in S mode and want to update to 24H2. When I download the Installation Assistant it tells me that the IA is an unverified app and to run the app I need to switch out of S mode, which means that I will NOT be able to return to S mode. Is there any way around this as I do not wish to leave S mode?
