How do I switch back to a picture password on Windows 8 without signing in?

I clicked to login with my text password after having used the picture password for a long time because I was having trouble getting the computer to recognize my gestures. But I had forgotten the text password, so now I cannot login at all. I used a local password and did not use a Microsoft account. How can I switch back to using the picture password on start up since I have no way to login to the machine. Thank you.

Hi,

I would suggest you to refer to this article:

Also, since you have forgotten text password, then recover Windows 8 Password via another Administrator account
If you have another user account with administrator privileges, including built-in accounts in Windows password, you can easily bypass other accounts' password using Lusrmgr.msc and Command Line.
Log on Windows with your administrator account.  Click on Press Windows key + R, type lusrmgr.msc and press OK.
When the Local users and Groups dialog appears, open the Users folder.
Right-click your user account and select "set password", type a new password and click OK.

According to Microsoft policy, Microsoft support engineers cannot help you retrieve passwords of files and features in Microsoft products that are lost or forgotten.
