How do I restore lost desktop icons

So, I just booted my computer a few hours ago and pretty much all of my desktop icons are gone. I have tried the explorer.exe fix, the Show hidden files and drives fix and none work. Theres only Recycle Bin, Adobe Reader X, Audacity, Google Chrome, HP Support Assistant, McAfee Total Protection, Office, Notepad++, paint.net, Screencast-O-Matic, Skype, Snapfish, Steam, Toontown Rewritten, TP-LINK Wireless Configuration Utility and WinRAR left on my desktop. Any solutions? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64-bit with a AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics 1.80 GHz processor. Manufactured by Hewlett Packard. Thanks for reading
