How Do I Resolve the 'Install Driver to Show Hardware' Issue with an AMD Processor and Manage Partitions During a Windows 11 Clean Install?

My computer model is an ASUS Vivobook S14 M5406WA with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor.

I’ve been facing issues with typing and the cursor, so I decided to do a clean install of Windows 11 using a USB boot drive. However, I encountered a message prompting me to "install driver to show hardware." Some websites suggested that the ‘IRST driver’ might work, so I downloaded it from ASUS and added it to the USB. This allowed the hardware to be shown. However, I then realized my processor is AMD, not Intel, and I’m wondering if that could be causing any issues.

After selecting the language, time and currency format, and keyboard or input method, I reached the next screen (see attachment), where I noticed something odd. There are two unallocated spaces that I can't delete, and the total size and free space of every disk, except the USB, are showing the same values. Is this normal?

Some websites said that I may not need to delete the recovery partitions, but can I delete the system partition and the MSR partition? In general, which partitions should I keep or delete to solve the issues with typing and the cursor? Should I simply install Windows 11 on the primary disk with the most storage?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

In your screenshot of the partitions on that drive, from the top down, you need to delete all partitions on Disk 0.

Then when the whole drive is marked as 'Unallocated Space', select that space and click 'Next' to begin the installation.
