How do I remove Windows Hello Pin?

The option to remove it is grayed out and doesn't work. I tried deleting the NGC file but it didn't do anything. How can I remove it for good?

I'm not sure which of the suggestions worked, but I was able to turn off "Require Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts" and then turn off PIN. But now it wants me to put in the Microsoft password when turning on the PC. How do I make it so when the PC turns on I just press Sign In and that's it? I used to have it like that before reinstalling Windows.

Glad you can finally remove the PIN, if you are using a Microsoft account, a password is required and cannot be removed due to security protection.

You can create a local account and disable the password prompt at login by following the steps below:

To switch to local user account follow these steps:

1. Open the Start Menu, search for "Add, edit or remove other users".

2. Select “Your email and accounts”.

3. You will get an option Sign in with a local account instead below your user account name.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to convert your Microsoft Account to Local Account.

Note: If you do not want a password leave the space blank.

5. Restart and check if the issue persists.

To turn off the password, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows Key + R to open the run dialog box and type netplwiz.

2. Uncheck Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.

3. Click OK.

4. Type in your username/password.

5. Restart and check if the issue persists.

I will be here to help you, have a great day!
