How do I reenable notifications for an App

I am using Windows 11, and I turned off notifications for Slack as it kept popping up over my full screen. Now that I am trying to reenable it, I have no idea how. I went to Notifications in settings and there's no option to turn on Slack or anything. I have no apps under "Notifications from apps and other senders" and no setting that signifies how to reenable it., Tried from within Slack itself, but it says I have it disabled in Windows and wont work until I reenable in Windows.

Short of reinstalling Windows, not sure what else to do .

1. I do not have focus mode on.

2. I do not have Do Not Disturb on.

I disabled Slack notifications in the Notifications center in the bottom right and now I don't get any notifications from Slack. I also turned off Discord notifications, but I still get the sound at least. This is impeding my work. Any help to get this sorted would be appreciated.

Hi Nelliel, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

If apps are not available under "Notifications from apps and other senders", it only means that the senders are cleared. For the apps to be available again, you will need to receive notifications from someone.

Otherwise, you may check the Registry so you can enable the notifications manually. See the image below for Discord as a guide.

If the three items mentioned in the image are not available, right-click on an empty spot > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value and create the three items then set their value to 1.

Would I need to do anything addtiional? I added the ShowBanner and the ShowInActionCenter as neither of them were in here, and set the three values to 1 but the notifications still don't appear :(

In this case, it seems reinstalling both of them might be the only way. Have you tried that?

I've only tried reinstalling Slack - I have not reinstalled Windows. Was hoping to leave it as a last resort

Just reinstalling the apps should be enough. If that didn't work, try to uninstall both apps and then reset and clear the notification senders using the method below. This should reset all senders to default. After the reset, restart the computer, install the apps and they should be reset to their default value once you receive a notification.

I gave this a try today finally. I uninstalled Slack, used the website and cleared the notification senders, restarted my PC, and then reinstalled Slack. I still don't get any notifications. And there are still no apps under my Notifications settings, even though I've enabled notifications in the app and tried to get it to notify me. Thanks so much for your attempts. Unfortunately, it seems my windows might just be busted.
