How Do I Permanently Change the Name of My Bluetooth Devices Without It Reverting Back?

I have followed these steps to change my Bluetooth device names:
Use the search feature and search for Control panel.

  1. Select View by: Category, then click Hardware and sound.

  2. Click Devices and Printers.

  3. Right-click the device you want to rename, then click Properties.

  4. Rename the Bluetooth device.

  5. Click Apply and OK.

These steps worked, however, it only lasts until I turn off my laptop and when I turn it back on, it just reverts back to the original names again. Is there any way to prevent this?

This is important for me since my sister and I share the laptop and also have the same kind of headphones. It's hard to tell them apart when trying to connect since they have the same name.

P.S I use Windows 11.

UPDATE 1: I just noticed that I have the same issue on my desktop so this isn't a laptop issue, it's something that has to do with the programming or whatever you call it (sorry I don't know the proper terminology).

UPDATE 2:
I posted a feedback request asking for a permanent solution to change Bluetooth device names:

Hi, MontserRat03

Welcome to the MicroSoft Community.

Modifying the Bluetooth name does not work after the computer reboot, this is a normal phenomenon, it is the design of the Windows product, if you by the demand, please look for applications that support modifying the name of the Bluetooth device to change, of course, if you hope that the function can be improved, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.
