How do I lock the FN key on my lenovo thinkpad with Windows 8.1?
I need to use the F1-F12 keys all the time in excel, and I can't stand pushing the FN key every time I need to hit F2 to enter a cell! How do I lock or reverse the FN key, so that I can simply hit F2 rather than FN + F2?

Answer
Hello Ryan,
Please help me with the following information:
1. What is the exact model of your Lenovo ThinkPad?
2. Do you want to disable the Fn key
If you want to disable the Fn key and if your Lenovo ThinkPad model is E420, E430 follow the steps below to disable Fn key:
1. Press Windows key + X key together on the key board.
2. Select Control panel
3. Right click on keyboard and open Keyboard properties
4. Click on tab "Thinkpad F1-F12 Keys"
5. Select now on legacy option
6. Click on Apply and Ok.
If the above method does not help, I would suggest you to contact Lenovo support.
