how do I get windows to open my mail

i have my email address set up on my new computer but it isn't working. when i click on my email the box says no mail received yet even though I know email is there because it is coming through my phone

Where are you trying to access email from? Through the Mail application or through a browser?

Before this information I recommend you to do the following:

Press Windows key + I and access settings;
Click Accounts;
Click on Email and Accounts;
Check if your email account is registered there, if not, click on Add an account and enter the login and password to finish;

My email shows as registered and can access it from iphone and old windows 7 computer but I can not receive mail on my new windows 10 It allows me to send mail but will not send in mail. all I get is a message that nothing has arrived yet. I have deleted and tried multiple times to reinstall my account and have done everything sugessted but to no avail. Please can sombodywalk me through step by step

i am trying to open my windows mail. like I said I can access it on the web page but not in my windows 10 mail

it opens fine on my old  windows 7 live mail but not on my new computer which is windows 10.

Dear SandraYerby,in that case I recommend that you try the following:

Press Windows key + I and access the settings;
Click Applications;
Scroll down and select Email and calendar, then click on Advanced options below;
In Reset, click Restore;
Then try to access the application again;

I'm sorry but I am having no luck finding a place to reset or restore or even advanced options in the mail and calendar windows settings

Dear SandraYerby,when accessing Settings> Applications> Email and Calendar; what appears on that screen?

Try to update the apps on the Microsoft Store:

Start the Microsoft Store and click on the three dots at the top right of the screen and go to "Downloads and updates";
If there is an update, click Get updates;

Make sure you can now access the application;

I did all this and all I get is a message telling me they can not access my account,I need to update password, which I did and still getting same message

i have been on this page all week going through all those steps with no luck. I even reset my computer to factory settings and tried setting up again with no luck. In changing my password on my email account I have now messed up my phone. It's quit sending my emails.
