Windows 7 does not use AutoPlay/AutoRun for USB Devices by default for Security reasons (the
Card Reader is a USB device even if built-in to the computer).
To access the Card Reader insert a Card into the Reader - then use Start - Computer OR Windows
Explorer to access the drive letter that will show if the card reader and/or card is working properly.
Check with Toshiba Support, their on-line documentation and drivers, and ask in their forums.

Hi ilidee,
1. What happens when you connect the SD card to the card reader?
2. What is the model of the laptop?
3. Is it a built-in or external SD card?
In order to diagnose the isuse, let’s check in device manager if the SD card is listed there.
a. Open device manager, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in Start Search box and hit Enter.
b. In device manager, check if SD card is listed in the device list.
You may turn on the AutoPlay feature & check if it helps.
