how do I disable programs from windows 7

I'm trying to find the startup program settings in the control panel but can't find it, and none of the programs have options to run at startup. How do I disable the programs without running msconfig? I use windows 7.

If a program is auto starting and you wish to stop this either

1) Use the programs config settings

3) edit the registry
