How do I change the default action for my DVD player?
The first time I used the DVD player, I accidentally elected to go to the Microsoft Store for the action to take every time. I have tried changing the default to Auto play and even resetting to Microsoft Recommendations. It still opens the Store every
time in try to play a disc. I want it to default to just playing the disc.
In Windows 10, you can set AutoPlay defaults for devices and media, such as DVD, CD, videos, and photos. The AutoPlay feature allows a computer to automatically run a program. We'd like to know how did you configure AutoPlay on your computer. Is it through
Windows Settings? If so, you can also configure AutoPlay defaults through
Control Panel. Here's how:
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound >
AutoPlay.
Configure your default settings for each media or option by clicking the drop-down menu. Refer to the screenshot below:
Click Save.
Restart your computer to apply the changes.
Get back to us with the result.
