I found an old acer laptop its Windows 10, someone’s account was still on it so I tried to completely reset it with did not worked. Each time I tried it it kept saying that there was a problem with resetting my pc. After that I went and tried that for 2 more times and it still didn’t work and then it told me I needed to restart my laptop so I did, and now it’s even worse because I’m stuck on a black screen and all I can do is move my mouse. I’ve turned it on and off multiple times and it still doesn’t work. What do I do in this situation?

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems. May I ask which Windows 10/11 build are you running - 22H2 (Win 10/Win 11) or 23H2 (Win 11)?
I understand you’re having problems with resetting the pc, Don’t worry as I’ll do my best to assist you today.
If you force restart 3 times then it should reach the troubleshoot menu, from there you should be able to reach options to restart in safe mode or even reset the pc.
Try the reset option.
Troubleshoot>Reset this pc.
