Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you want to make a copy of all partitions on the drive on the new SSD, including the C drive partition, EFI (boot) partition, and the recovery partition., then oyu would need to use a 3rd party utility to clone all partitions on the drive to the new SSD, there are many available online, we are only allowed to recommend free software on this Community, the best one is no longer free, try the free version of AOMEI Backupper to see if that suites your needs.

Lenovo included a copy of all the software they installed at their factory. It's in a special partition that Lenovo added to your computer at the factory. Using Lenovo's instructions, you can restore your computer to exactly the way it was when you first received the computer.

The beauty of this procedure is that (1) it's fast; (2) it's easy; (3) it includes all the drivers you'll need, so no need to go looking for them; and (4) it was created specifically for your computer. The disadvantage is that if you've added any software to your computer since you first got it, that software will have to be reinstalled.

If you're reasonably confident with your ability to follow technical instructions, you can make an exact copy of your hard drive as it is now. This copy is called an image and you can make images any time, and keep them forever. Windows does not have software for doing this, so it means you'll need to get commercial software, if you're okay with that.

I'll admit: There's a learning curve coming with image backup applications, but nothing you can't handle. Take your time, experiment with it, and you'll get it.

The beauty of image backup applications is that you can make an exact copy (an image) of your hard drive anytime, automatically, while you continue to work on your computer. When you restore an image, your computer goes back in time to exactly the way it was when you made the image. I don't have to sell you on how great that can be!

The more you understand, the more you succeed.
