How can I login with the same Minecraft account from Mac to Windows 10?

Hi,

I have a Minecraft account on Mac but I can't seem to login with that same account on Windows 10. Mac Minecraft is premium but I'm struggling to do a license transfer to this computer.

Hi Jordan,

Players who already have the previous PC or Mac edition of Minecraft (running on Java) can download Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition for free. There is no need for a license transfer. Just make sure that you downloaded the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and used the same Microsoft account email address. To properly isolate your concern, please provide us the following information:

  • Are there any error messages when you tried to sign in on Windows 10?
  • Have you already activated the code for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition on your Windows PC?
  • Is the Xbox Live Service Status up and running?
