You can cut and paste the files to the D: drive from the C: drive. If you copy and paste a file, you're making a duplicate of the original file that you can then modify independently of the original file. So, it is a good idea to cut and paste the file.
If your computer has many duplicate files, you might want to use a program designed to find and
remove duplicate files. Search using your favorite search engine for more information.
