User forums report significant problems with the upgrade software, KB3093594, so it is recommended NOT to attempt to upgrade Windows Live Mail from the 2011 version to 2012. There are no benefits in upgrading it, as both programs are identical, unless you
desire to use Exchange ActiveSync. By switching from Deltasync to IMAP, Windows Live Mail 2011 will continue to work, without needing Windows Live Mail 2012 or the upgrade.
