How can I disable "We need permission to enable Phone Link features?"

I understand Microsoft would like me to give permissions for "enhancements" for this functionality. But the link works fine for my purposes. Demanding that I give additional permissions to the app each time I open it is unnecessary and, frankly, irritating. It's a good practice to only allow apps the minimum permissions they require.

I completely agree. This message displays EVERYTIME the app starts up. It is SO ANNOYING. Why has Microsoft not posted any solution to stop this annoying message on their app?

I agree, if TeamViewer can do it, then we know it's not some android security issues. As in most cases it is. But the fact that it CAN be done with TeamViewer just show the fault lies with Microsoft. It's been an issues people have been avidly complaining about for 2 years. I just don't know what their reasoning is behind this. If is was a bug, then surly a fix would have been implemented by now. There must be a reason they're refusing to rectify this issue and whatever that issue is they must care more about that than they do for their customers satisfaction. That is probably why they keep closing these topics as fast as they pop up.

I quit using it Microsoft's Phone Link. It defeats the purpose if I have to get my phone every time I want to view it though my PC. It's too bad though they did an an amazing job on the UI . I's easy to navigate and very convenient, all except for the flaw mentioned above. That was a deal breaker for me. I just use TeamViewer now instead. Not only can I access my phone from anywhere in the world I can also make a connection from my phone to PC as well. Or any device to device connection no matter the platform. It's not as streamlined as Phone Link by Microsoft, but is features and it's diversity make it far superior an every way.

I'm finding myself in the same situation as you. About to stop using it completely. It's a waste of time and space in its present state. I understand WHY they do this (security), but there should be an option to allow us to turn this off.

I can only second this.

I was very enthusiastic using the app as it really distracts me picking up phone all the time during my work so my idea was to use the apps directly from my PC screen along with picking up calls etc.

For apps, I need to do the approval every time so it is already quicker for me to check on the phone itself.

For the phone calls, it often happens that picking the call on the computer screen ends up in microphone not working and I need to call the party back. so I mostly end up picking the call up on my phone only.

Due to this i am basically stuck only with managing the gallery which has very limited options (not even delete multiple pictures at the same time) and writing SMS messages. For both, however, i can use google without too much hassle.

If there was any update on this one, i would really appreciate it.
