Hi there, I am trying to upload iCloud images and videos from my device to my PC. On the iCloud application, it will not allow me to change where the photos will be uploaded, this is an issue because the selected drive is nearly out of storage. I would like to select a hard drive.

Apple seem to indicate you cannot change just the location the image files are stored, but you can change where the whole iCloud folder is located:
Try the steps they provide on this link to move where the whole iCloud folder is stored to another drive.

Hi there, this is for iCloud drive which is not quite the same as the iCloud photos, I am still unable to change the location of iCloud photos. I appreciate the help though

It looks like it may not be possible for whatever reason...

It later says external drives are not supported which is odd because while the other storage device I wish to use is not the C drive, it is an internal drive. I guess apple only wants people using SSDs for their photos and not HDDs but I wonder why.
