How can I change user profile owner name on Windows 10?

When you re-install Windows, choose not to supply an Email Address, that will then create a local account and the name on that folder will be correct

When you install Windows 10 and start with a Microsoft Account, that will name that user folder with a truncated version of your name . . .

It is not easy to change the name on that user folder, and probably not advised to do so . . .

However, here is a safe method to change the name on that folder, by Shawn Brink, which can be trusted:

If it is, you need to change your Display name through the Web:
