How can i change the audio codec format?

I have recently bought new headphones, Sony WH-1000 XM5 to be clear, but when playing games I experience a big bluetooth latency. I have searched for solutions and I found a program called "Alternative A2DP Driver Configuration" which lets me change the codec type. (picture) When selecting "LDAC" the latency is a lot smaller than before. But the program has a 7 day free trial, so I have to buy it after 7 days. Now i have wondered if there is any other free option to change the codec or if Windows even has that feature natively. Thanks in advance

Hello Xaver, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

Unfortunately, Windows does not natively support changing Bluetooth codecs.
As for free alternatives, there’s a tool on GitHub called “AudioPlaybackConnector” that might be worth checking out.
