How about Recovery Partition in Windows 10

When I upgrade Window 8.1 SL with bing to Window 10 Home SL, I see in the Disk Management that has a new 7 gb Recovery Partition. How can I removing this partition? or maybe not? From Acer Iconia W4-820 Series (eMMC 32 gb)

I'm not sure in my reason: "We’re working on bringing upgrade to low capacity devices

The reason Windows 8.1 devices using WIMBOOT are not yet able to upgrade to Windows 10 is because many of the WIMBOOT devices have very limited system storage. That presents a challenge when we need to have the Windows 8.1 OS, the downloaded install image, and the Windows 10 OS available during the upgrade process. We do this because we need to be able to restore the machine back to Windows 8.1 if anything unexpected happens during the upgrade, such as power loss. In sum, WIMBOOT devices present a capacity challenge to the upgrade process and we are evaluating a couple of options for a safe and reliable upgrade path for those devices." (I see this information in Microsoft's website.) Credit:

Hi Glary,

Before you do start deleting any partitions, it’s important to take the time to ensure that you do have other options available to you. Use the method built into Windows to create a recovery USB drive, or follow your computer supplier’s instruction for turning the recovery partition they have created into a recovery DVD or USB drive.

Download and install a copy of the program and then fire it up. Click the Partition Manager button and once your drives have been analyzed, they will be listed. Right click on the partition you’d like to remove, select the Delete Partition option and click OK to confirm.

You can refer to the following link to download the installation media for Windows 10.

Hope this helps.

ImageThank for your answer but maybe I don't understand clearly. In Computer Management (Software in Windows 10) tell me about 7gb Recovery Partition (in Picture on the first post) is 100% free space. And, It can't delete 7gb partition or merge this 7 gb to other partition. But, I installed EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition. It lists this 7gb Partition is unused partition and it has option to wipe data or merge to other partition. And, this 7gb recovery partition is not 100% free space (Used 6.25 gb from 7 gb). It has some files/folders contained in it. (see my picture in this post) My Question is I want to make sure that I can delete this 7gb partition?
