Help with reactivating windows 10 code after hardware change

Hi,

My boyfriend had built and bought a windows key for me 2 years ago. I recently upgraded most parts in my pc apart from my hard drive and I'm having trouble reactivating my windows key. I get error code 0xC004C003 in the settings window. After attempting to troubleshoot the issue it says to make sure I'm connected to the internet (which it is directly connected by a cable). The activation code should still be valid. Any idea what I can do to solve this.

If an OEM key it wont activate on new hardware

Where did you get your Windows licence was that a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

If you have the product key, download the free ShowKeyPlus app from the Microsoft Store and enter your product key into that app, what does that app indicate for your product key?

yes I have the original product key I was using and I've tried inputting it again but it doesn't work

I've inputted the key into the software and it says MAK count blocked. I'm not sure where my boyfriend had bought the key from.

A MAK key is a volume licence key used by large organizations, it is not a consumer licence, you will need to contact the seller of that licence if you cannot get that key to activate Windows.

The seller is the only one that can resolve this, because it is not a normal consumer licence.
