Help Sony Vaio With Windows 8, Cant Connect To My Wi-Fi All Of A Sudden

Please can someone resolve a big problem i have had today?

 

I purchased a Sony Vaio SVE1512C6EW about a month ago, have had no problems whatsoever, great machine and all that, until today!

 

I have windows 8 and its all new to me. However i was generally browsing earlier and then all of a sudden  the webpages were not loading. At the bottom it read "waiting for response from www.google.co.uk" and simply wasnt loading. It was nothing to do with my wi-fi sky router was on working normal on the ps3 so it had to be something with the laptop where the problem lied.

 

Now on the Networks tab on the right under Wi-Fi it simply says "No Networks Found", whereas earlier i had a list of 20 odd networks. Why have they disappeared and why cant i get them back so i can reconnect to my Wi-fi. Airplne mode is off and the wireless light is ON along the bottom of chasset. Ive been looking for help online but all i could find in relation was turning wireless switch on (this laptop doesnt have one) by a key combination i dont have a clue. Most grateful if anybody could help me.

From the description I understand that, you are facing an issue with Wireless (Wi-Fi) networking Connection.

 

To assist you better I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

 

1)      Have you made any changes to the hardware or software on the computer prior to the issue?  

2)      Do you get any error message / code?
