Help Needed to Recover My Microsoft Account

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out because I need assistance recovering my Microsoft account associated with the email address *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

I used this account primarily to play Minecraft during my high school years, but I haven't accessed it for about four years since starting college abroad. Unfortunately, I no longer remember the password, and I’ve also changed my phone number to a local number in the country where I currently reside.

Here’s the issue:

  • I cannot reset my password because the only recovery option available is tied to my +62.........00, which I no longer have access to.

  • I’ve already submitted the recovery form twice today, but I have not received a response yet.

Additional details that may help you verify my ownership:

  • The account email: re................*** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

  • I have Minecraft on this account

  • My current phone number (for contact): +49...........26

  • I have not accessed the account in four years due to changing devices, passwords, and moving abroad.

Please let me know if there are alternative ways to verify my identity or if further details are required. I would love to regain access to my account and continue using it.

When posting on public forums, it's best not to include personally identifiable information (e.g. email addresses and phone numbers).

You can try to use the account recovery form but you've already tried it. You can submit up to two responses every twenty-four hours, so if you don't get the results you wanted, you can submit more.

Usually, after two years of inactivity, Microsoft accounts are deleted permanently.

I understand that inactive Microsoft accounts might be deleted after two years, but when I tried creating a new Microsoft account using my old Gmail, I was told that the email is already / still in use and prompted to sign in instead. This leaves me stuck. I can’t create a new account with that email, but I also can’t access the existing one.

Is there any way to resolve this so I can either recover the account or clear the email for a new Microsoft account? I’d really appreciate your help with this!
