HELP inaccessible boot device, have tried everything

I was trying to undo the latest Creators Updates, so I tried to revert to previous build but the after trying restart i got a blue screen and stuck in the loop of inaccessible boot device! Ive tried everythin i found in this forum but nothing helped. I have files i just can't lose, what can i do? Please help!

I've been using windows 10 so far with no problems whatsoever and the reason why i wanted to undo the creators updates was that it seemed to interfere with google chrome. How did such a simple problem create this big mess?

Hi I want you to boot into the Advanced Startup mode. You can try this trick to get there!

Did you see this when you clicked on my first link I posted?

Hi Here's how to get into the advanced startup mode. You have several options there to fix windows.

triggering ‘Automatic Repair’

If your PC isn’t loading Windows 10 and you don’t have the operating system installation files, you can use the following trick.

  1. Start your computer and follow the POST, when Windows should begin loading, press the power button to shutdown your computer.

  2. Repeat the previous step twice, and in the third restart the operating system should enter into the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE), where a number of diagnostics will be performed to try fix any booting issues, but you will also get an option to access the Windows Startup Settings.

Hi your first screen shot says "Windows did not start properly."

I guess my next suggestion would be to create the media creation tool. Here's link! Let me know how things go. I'm guessing you have corrupted your operating system. It will take a long time to reinstall windows. If you've tried all the Advanced Startup options and nothing worked, this is my next suggestion. Some times other members will join these threads if you want to wait for more suggestions. Did you try " System Restore"? in Advanced options.

Here's link for media creation tool!

Hi I have given you my best shot. Here's a link by HTG about the Advanced Startups. I will hang with you until we solve your problem. Check with you tomorrow if you have more questions. This is the best I can do for you tonight!

The advanced options here may allow you to fix the problem – the Automatic Repair option is particularly useful, and the System Restore or Safe Mode options may help you boot your computer. If none of these options work, you’ll need to perform a refresh (or a full reset.)

Hi Yes! You can keep your files!

  1. The tool will walk you through how to set up Windows 10 on your PC.
    • If you don’t have a license to install Windows 10 and you have not previously upgraded to Windows 10, you can purchase a copy of Windows 10, see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-windows-10.
    • If you previously upgraded to Windows 10 on this PC and you’re reinstalling it, you don’t need to enter a product key. Your copy of Windows 10 will automatically activate later using your digital license.
  2. When Windows 10 is ready to install, you’ll see a recap of what you’ve chosen, and what will be kept through the upgrade. Select Change what to keep to set whether you would like to Keep personal files and apps, or Keep personal files only, or choose to keep Nothing during the upgrade.
  3. Save and close any open apps and files you may be running, and when you’re ready, select Install.
  4. It might take some time to install Windows 10, and your PC will restart a few times. Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.
