My laptop has a built in microphone inside of it. Whenever I plug my headset in, it overrides it. There's no separate options for my headset or laptop mic, it has only one. I've tried reinstalling my audio driver, and it reinstalled an OLDER version of it. This isn't a problem on my other laptop, as it's able to separate my headset mic and built in laptop mic. I've exhausted most of my options relating to tweaking settings in the sound panel, and the new realtek audio manager (now called realtek audio console) has NO configuration settings at all. I've tried windows built in troubleshooting, but since I'm using windows 11 it uses the online troubleshooter. How do I fix this?

It doesn't override anything.
Plug in your 3.5mm headset. When your computer prompts you "which device did you plug in", select "headset". If not prompted, go to realtek audio console app to select "headset".
Your 3.5mm headset mic is combined with the laptop's microphone array.
Lightly tap your headset mic, the signal meter for the microphone array will jump thus verifying that you are indeed using your headset mic.

I figured out a solution, but realteks new audio manager doesn't have anyway to use multi-streaming.

More microphones means better noise cancellation.
Your laptop's internal microphone array is going to detect all the background noise. Your headset mic is going to detect your voice. It's better for the noise cancellation software to actually have more data so that it can better do noise cancellation.
