HDD not getting detected anywhere

Hi!

I have Lenovo Z51-70 which came with a regular HDD. I brought a SSD drive and then did a clean install with installation media (transfer of OS). Everything went well and the system is running very smoothly on the SSD.

The problem is that I can't get the regular HDD that came with new laptop running. Regular HDD is in a HDD caddy that I used to replace my DVD-drive. HDD in the caddy doesn't show up anywhere, neither in BIOS nor in disk management. I changed multiple Caddy but the issue persists. Also the CD Drive works properly (hope that means the connector is good).

Also checked drivers, they are all updated.

What should I do to get the OS running on the 500 MB SSD so that I could use the regular 1 TB HDD also to store everything I need?

Please help!

Hi, SabotageNT. I'll be happy to assist you today.
Sorry to know you're experiencing disk this issue.

If Bios is not able to detect the disk, disk can be broken, or Bios is not able to handle disk at the same time. In this case, i recommend you contact Lenovo support staff. They can help you to identify the root cause and bring you the instructions to solve the issue.

Feel free to reach me if you require any additional assistance or have further questions.
