I’m a freelancer working from home since the pandemic, and I think I just deleted a bunch of files that I meant to archive. When I worked full time, we had an IT guy who could fix anything. I’m looking for that same kind of service, someone who can dive into my computer or OneDrive and find the folders. I had an AnyTech365 router years ago, so I’m wondering if their data recovery services is any good. I see that they have a great TrustPilot rating which I am a big fan of but elsewhere they have mixed reviews but mostly good.

There's no special skill required, I can guide you to do it yourself.
Did you check desktop Recycle Bin? If it's another drive I can show you how to get to it's Recycle Bin.
If it was on C, see if you can See if you can System Restore to a point before the problem began following this guide: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&...
System Restore is your first line of defense and can take you back to a point before a problem began like a time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this started.
Search key words from the files to see if they are somewhere on the PC.
If not run Recuva: http://www.piriform.com/recuva/features
If Recuva can't recover them the best consumer tool to do this is Get Data Back. Read the instructions carefully. If it finds them it will tell you honestly before you pay anything.
Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Hello Franny
Be cautious. AnyTech365 is known to be a scam company!
In the German speaking community we have a thread about them running for 1,5 years now and we receive new reports from users who have been scammed on a regular basis.
