Hi, I'm Ravish, an independent Windows advisor, and I'm here to assist you today.

Here’s a structured guide to deal with suspected tampering by unauthorized compilers or malware like the one you've described:

1. Perform a Full Malware Scan
Download and run Microsoft Defender Offline Scan (Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection).

2. Remove Third-party Codecs and Players
Uninstall PotPlayer, MadVR, AVSPmod, and any codec packs like ffdshow.
Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, and uninstall all suspicious applications.
Delete manually any remaining folders under C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86).

3. Check Windows Integrity
Run the following commands in Command Prompt as Administrator:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

4. Reset Graphics Settings
Open NVIDIA Control Panel, go to Manage 3D settings > Restore Defaults.
Update or reinstall the latest NVIDIA graphics driver from the official site.

5. Secure Your Network
Reset your router and change the default credentials to secure the wireless connection.
Consider enabling a firewall (Windows Defender Firewall or third-party).

Hope it helps
