Hi,

I see that you want to know why the graphics card is not getting detected in Windows 7. I will help you with this issue.

1.What is the make and model of the computer?

2.Which security software is installed on the computer?

You may try to install the driver in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

To change compatibility settings manually, right-click the driver setup file, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab.

Hope this helps.

By default, Microsoft provides a "base" minimum video card driver so that Windows install can complete.  Head over to:

nVidia web site

so as to get the complete video card drivers.

Hi,

I would like to see if this helps you to resolve the issue.

Download your drivers from below mentinoed link of NVIDIA as its for Windows 7 64 Bit.

Link: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/49948

Also upon checking on your hardware on your HP computer it seems that it would be better for you to run Windows 7 32 bit as HP claims that its compatible with Windows 7 32 bit.

They have also released bunk of drivers for your model. Find the reference link for your drivers below.
