Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

From the above description, I understand you are getting  ' windows cannot find  ' wuapp.exe'. Make sure you type the name correctly , and then try again.'  on running the command in run command window and Google web is blocked on your PC.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

  1. Are you not able to download the updates available on your PC?
  2. Did you check if Google is blocked by Windows Firewall?

wuapp.exe” command use to work earlier in previous Windows version (Windows 7, 8/8.1 OS) to display the Windows updates available on the PC. In Windows 10, wuapp.exe command is removed as the updates are installed automatically on the PC.

The issue regarding Google web pages being blocked may be due to the Windows Firewall blocking any pages related to search engine on your PC.

Query 1: Google web blocked.

Try allowing the app through firewall by following the steps below:

  1. Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Control panel from the context menu.
  2. Click on View by located to the top right of the window and select Large option.
  3. Select Windows firewall from the options and click on Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall from the left side panel of the window.
  4. Click on Change settings from the window. Provide administrators password if prompted.
  5. Click on the application under Private and Public and check if the issue is resolved.

Refer to the link below on Turn Windows Firewall on or off

Query 2: Windows update is not working.

If you are unable to download Windows updates on your PC, run Windows update troubleshooter and check for the corrupted/missing updates components on the PC.

In many cases, the Windows Update will automatically notify you if there’s a problem with any update and try to fix the problem. If you continue experiencing problems with downloading updates, this tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with downloading and installing the updates.

Write to us with the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.
