Getting rid of pop up message upon restart.

I had epistart malware and it was removed with Malwarebytes. Now whenever I restart my computer I get the message

"Windows cannot find "epibrowser.exe". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

How do I get rid of this message?

Epistart still shows in my app list, but if I click on uninstall it says it isn't there and the folder is empty.

Hello,

Could you take a screenshot of the startup section of Task Manager, and also take a screenshot of the File Explorer window that you see when you push Windows key + R and then type shell:startup?

Hope to hear back from you.

Thanks for your feedback.

Use Autoruns: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns

Click the Find icon (magnifying glass) (or press CTRL+F) and search for epibrowser.exe

Once found, either right-click > delete or just clear the checkbox.

Clearing the checkbox prevents an entry from starting without actually deleting it. That way, if you are unsure of an entry, you can prevent it from starting but if that causes a problem, you can just re-run Autoruns and check the box to cause the item to autostart again.
