I appreciate you for showing interest in Windows 10 and we are glad to assist you.

Try the below methods and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to check if the KB3035583 update is installed on your System. If that update is not installed then try to install it.

Refer to the following Microsoft article on Update installs Get Windows 10 app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1 and check if it helps.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2: Perform Clean boot.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update.

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps from the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Note: The steps for Windows 8.1 applies to Windows 10 Insider Preview.

Disclaimer: Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

Hi,

We appreciate your time and effort for getting back to us.

Clean boot is the process of starting a computer system with only the most essential files and services required by the operating system. It is a leaner approach to booting a computer that requires that at least the startup services and device drivers be loaded.

Please we informed that KB 2267602 is the Windows Defender Update. I suggest you refer to the following Microsoft article on Remove an update and check if it helps.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/remove-update#1TC=windows-7

If you need any further assistance let us know and we would be glad to help you.

Thank you.

I too had this issue but I came from Windows 8.1. I got into the BIOS and disabled the NIC. Then went through the clean install process and this time Please Wait lasted about 30 seconds or less.
