Generic Camera Driver for Windows 10

I have a Samsung Laptop with an inbuilt webcam which just does not work. I cannot use it for Zoom or Microsoft Team or any other facility requiring a video or camera. I have updated windows and the system uses Cyberlink YouCam 9. All it shows is a blank screen with a fixed camera icon. I have spoken to the manufacturer and they have done a diagnostic test and found that after my recent Windows 10 Update, there is now no generic camera driver listed in my Device Manager. I cannot find a link to install the correct camera driver from Microsoft. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello SteveBurnett5,

Thank you for updating me that information. What is the samsung model of your laptop?

Please try in Device Manager, Under View select Show hidden devices
Check if any camera related adapter appeared then try to right click and update

If doesn't work, In Device Manager Select your Computer Name
Under Action, Add legacy hardware then Click next
Install the hardware that I manually select from a list
Select Imaging devices
If Kyocera is present select it then click the first model the right \
Click Next until Finish then Restart.

or
Perform a system restore to an earlier date
Open Start.
Search for Create a restore point, and click the top result to open the System Properties experience.
Click the System Restore button.
Click the Next button.
Select the restore point that you want to use on your computer.
Click Next then Finish

If the camera started to work after system restore try to Pause the update for the meantime.

The model is NP300E5A - A01DX.

I am trying the above underlined but did not find Kyocera but have installed one called ''remote desktop camera devices' but when I click on that it shows remote desktop device with a yellow triangle with a '!' in the middle.

I have clicked on it and it has come up with the following message: ''This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.''

Hello SteveBurnett5,

Thank you for updating me that information. Just uninstall the remote desktop camera driver. Did you tried to perform a System restore?

Please try to download your camera driver here based on your model.
Under Driver click See more then you will see Camera. You may also try to download the chipset. just make sure to select the latest dates.

I did not do the system restore as I didn't want to loose the apps and updates I did in last couple of weeks. I have downloaded the driver you recommended and re-booted, but still no luck with the webcam unfortunately.

I'm not sure whether you are around, but you tried to assist me yesterday. I still have the ongoing issue. However my laptop is now showing this error message:

0xA00F4244 (NoCamerasAreAttached)

Would this have changed your advice?
