fTPM message on first startup

So basically I got a brand new pc. I opened it up for the first time after charging. when i turn it on i'm told this:

"Press Y to reset fTPM, if you have Bitlocker or encryption-enabled system, the system will not boot without a recovery key.  Press N to keep previous fTPM record and continue system boot.  fTPM will NOT be enabled with new cpu unless fTPM is (previously initialised) you could swap back to the old CPU to recover TPM related keys and data ?" YES/NO

I'm not sure what this means because this is the first time I'm powering on the pc. what option do i choose?

Hi milesroudette,
I'm Rodrigo, Independent Advisor and I will help you.
If you're sure your PC is new, you can press Y and continue, use your PC normally and tell if the message appears again.
If I helped you anyway, It makes me happy.
