Frequent WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR: Suspecting PSU Issue – Any Fixes?

Hi everyone, I've been experiencing the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR ever since I purchased my PC and it's been quite some months now. The error occurs during everything from simple web browsing to gaming, now even just from starting up the PC it went blue screen. I suspect it might be related to the PSU not being able to fully support the system's specs.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, or do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Model: Alienware Aurora R10

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3801 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Maybe as simple as this, if not and its only a few months old contact the makers support.

Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

I'm really sorry that this has happened to you. Sometimes, physical hardware defects, like improperly seated RAM or CPU cooling issues, can lead to this error. Inspect your components and ensure everything is seated correctly and your cooling system is functioning properly.

May I also ask if your BIOS is up to date? Ensure all your drivers and BIOS are up to date. Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause WHEA errors, particularly with hardware like the CPU or GPU. AMD chipset drivers are particularly important for systems using Ryzen CPUs.

Have you also tried doing a clean boot?

Please let me know if you have any more questions, I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
