free upgrade path - XP to Windows 7

Is there a free upgrade path from XP to Windows 7 that Microsoft is offering? kindly assists.

Hi,

No, at this time there is no free upgrade for XP > 7. It is however of course possible to upgrade from XP > 7 in general.

Before getting started, or attempting the upgrade, you'll want to go ahead and download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20

Essentially, what this software does is it scans your system/connected devices to see if they'll work properly with Windows 7. It also specifically checks your PC hardware to see if it meets the system requirements to install on your system.
