forza horizon 5 d3d12 issues

Unfortunately, this game does not have an option to run in D3d11 mode ( DirectX11). The solution is to try to fix your issue of games crashing on DirectX12.

I recommend you clean reinstall your graphics drivers. Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) com completely uninstall your display driver then, download and reinstall your graphics driver from the device maker tool/website.

I'll try to reinstall graphics driver and is there anyway to run the game in compatibility mode cause Xbox doesn't like me editing the ForzaHorzion5 Application file to make it run in compatibility mode so idk what to do about that

Please give the detailed information about your system specifications, CPU, GPU, RAM

Amd ryzen 5 4500, RTX 4060 and 32gb of ram

Since the display driver reinstall did not work, I recommend you do an in-place upgrade, to reinstall the system files and the problems with DX12.

After downloading the Windows 11 ISO file, double-click it to open and run setup .exe. The in-place upgrade will keep your files and apps and they are and reinstall the system.
