Formatting an installation DVD

To whom it may concern,

As shown in the image, I currently have a Windows 10 CD from 2015. When it is used to install Windows 10 on a computer, it installs version 1511 which is outdated. For this reason, I have two questions related to the CD. Would a Windows 10 CD purchased in 2021 install the latest version (21H2)? Additionally, is it possible for me to format the CD and use a Media Creation tool to put version 21H2 on the installation disk? I would appreciate it if you could respond back. Thanks in advance.

You can buy a new installation media, but is so probably that you will get a 20H2 version. I recommend you to prepare a USB or DVD media using the media creation tool. For a DVD you will get a new DVD disc you cannot reburn the original Windows installation media.
