Try resetting your BIOS defaults:

https://www.groovypost.com/howto/reset-pc-bios-...

If that does not work and you have a desktop computer...

Power down
Unplug it
Open the system unit

Remove the CMOS CR-2032 chip
Plug it in, start the machine, wait 10 seconds

Power down, unplug it, reinstall the CMOS CR-2032 chip
Plug it in again, power up

You know that you have a almost 10 years old technology, that includes the processor, the chipset, etc. Another important issue, HDD's tend to get slow when they get old and are about to give up get a S.M.A.R.T program to check the condition of your HDD, if that are too much issues, backup your HDD and replace it.

That been said, you can give a new life to this computer by using a SSD or a SSDH, next you can try:

1. Press WINKEY + R and type in SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe and execute, go to Performance settings and set your visual effects to performance, you might select one or other item to make your experience better.

2. We don't know if your profile has some issues or not, press WINKEY + R and type in control userpasswords2 add a new user, set a password and do a logoff . Log back in with that new account, if things looks faster and your computer responds better, your profile has issues, backup your stuff in to this new account.

3. Press CTRL + Left Shift + ESC, under process check what program is taking the most process and memory, go to startup tab and look if you need all that, disable what you think you don't need.

There's not much what can be done, I had issues like yours before and it was all related with my old HDD.

Good luck.

I don't think that my HDD is the problem I checked his performance and it's working fine and I defragment it every day, I think that that the issue is in Windows 10 it's really buggy and slow like all other Microsoft products, I know a couple of people who also told me that Windows 10 is running slow and buggy for them too and it started with the 1709 version, the previous Windows 10 versions ran fine on my PC

I'm using Windows 10 pro 1709 (16299.371) just fine. Windows 10 is smart now, Windows automatically defragment your hard drives for you on a schedule, I never defrag my HDD's.

You're contradicting yourself, you said that "the previous Windows 10 versions ran fine on my PC" but before that "Windows 10 it's really buggy and slow like all other Microsoft products".

Ask all this people you talk with then, looks like they all know much more than us.

Good luck.
