HI Jugoslav ... are you using McAfee?
If so, this an event for that app.
I believe it is a McAfee issue and there is an update for their app.
Check their site to find out for sure.

Do you have defender running as well?
If so disable it and see if the events go away.
You can do that by going to search and typing services.msc
Open that then go to Windows Defender and stop and disable them.

Well looks like Comodo is not really compatible with the security center.
So you can either just ignore these messages and continue to use Comodo.
Or you can remove Comodo and use Defender instead.

I've been having this same problem, since the very day this post was created, I have Webroot security with Defender off, so I doubt that is the case, I've tired at least a dozen and a half troubleshooting methods and have had no success.

I'm here searching because my PC is now randomly rebooting itself.

I'm also getting this with Sophos Home 2.0.11

I have the same error.  I also run Comodo but from other posts it suggest the problem is Windows.  If it is Comodo then the error should tell us more.

In my case I get two event 16 following:  Error while updating (unknown) status to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.

Defender if off.

Please don't suggest the solution is to remove Comodo and use Defender.  This is not a solution I am prepared to use and I shouldn't need to.  MS does not own the world and should not dictate to any of us the way we want to run OUR PC's

I am having this with av defender

Windows security center sees that AV defender needs update but wont let me install update.

I restarted pc and it seemed to take and showed av defender not needing an update

Confirmed it was set as default and proceeded to do a full system scan

and at 2% of a full system scan it removes the AV defender, right out of the directory
